The Escapists: The Walking Dead was created by combining the award-winning indie game The Escapist with the global phenomenon that is The Walking Dead series. In this unique game, created in a charming 8-bit pixel art style, you play as Rick Grimes fighting hordes of walkers.
The Deluxe Edition also includes: the official soundtrack from the game, a digital artbook featuring scenes from the comics and other artwork, and the first edition of the official The Walking Dead comic book.
Faithful reproduction of the comics
Rick is responsible for a group of survivors, among whom you will find many characters known from the comics, such as Maggie, Hershel, Glenn, and Michonne. Rick must keep them safe by finding a way to escape from each area and managing several dangerous tasks to keep as many people alive as possible. The game faithfully recreates the timeline from the comics - Rick must escape from Harrison Memorial Hospital and visit the Greene family farm before reaching locations such as Meriwether Prison and Woodbury.
Play an epic story
Choose from over 200 different items to create over 70 tools or weapons to help you survive. Interact with all your favorite characters from the comics and recruit them to help you with important tasks. Keep morale high in your group by performing daily activities. Finally, fend off hordes of hungry wanderers using your wits and the help of your companions.
